Mary C. Ferrara wrote, directed, produced and stars in “Schmoopie.” A film inspired by things in her life; a painful breakup and her love of animals (she has volunteered at the Quincy Animal Shelter since 2008). The film is a testament that love is found everywhere and you never have to be alone. There is always something if you are willing to look for it.
Mary C. Ferrara has worn many hats in the filmmaking world. She has been an actor, a director, a producer and a screenwriter.
Schmoopie Watch all the amazing films about animals and our relationship to them (including Schmoopie :-)) on March 21st through the SOFA and SOFA Tails Film Festivals You can watch them here: xerb.tv/channel/sofafilmfestival
Schmoopie Excited to say Schmoopie got into SOFA and SOFA Tails Film Festivals! And they are doing something special with the proceeds from the online screenings. S.O.F.A Tails supports local rescue programs and this year it is ‘A Dog’s Day Out Cyprus’ – a program that takes senior and disabled dogs out of shelters for a day of love and care as many of them have been in the shelter for years with little hope of adoption. Through their care some have found forever foster homes. All subscription fees to view the film will go directly to them.
More info on the festival and how to watch the selected films can be found here:
